Cell Renewal Effects of Estradiol 17β-Benzoate on Vaginal Epithelium of Mouse using H³- Thymidine and Autoradiography

Abstract

|
The effects of Estradiol 17 β-Benzoate on the cell renewal system of the vaginal epithelium from the estrus, diestrus, ovariectomized-untreated, and ovariectomized-treated mice were compared by means of autoradiographic observations using the tritiated thymidine. The similar cell renewal rates were counted in each of both the ´sets; namely, estrous versus. ovariectomizeduntreated and the diesterous versus ovariectomized-treated. Significant statistical difference was calculated between both the sets, of which the estrus-ovarcectbmizeduntreated set was shown a low cell renewal rate.
